SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's lacrosse team started off the week in dominating fashion as there were ten different goal scorer's in the dominating 24-2 win over Wilson, Monday.
Madison Hennelly led all goal scorer's tying a career-high of five while also adding four assists.
Abby Bach recorded a career-high of four goals and also added three assists.
Lauren Puntanen and
Ella Scholes each added three goals.
Megan Meyer recorded a career-high three assists.
Hailey Meyer scored her first career goal.
Scholes had the game opening goal just over a minute into the game.At 13:06, Wilson scored their first of just two goals for the game. The Blue Jays would go on to score 11 more goals before the end of the first quarter as Hennelly, Puntanen,
Drew Bridges, M. Meyer, Scholes, and H. Meyer contributed goals. Etown kept working as they would go on to score five more goals in the second quarter to go up 17-1 at halftime.
Puntenen got the Blue Jays off to a quick start in the third as Bach gave the assist at 13:55. Bach added her fourth and final goal with the help from Hennelly to extend Etown's lead to 19-1. After several scoreless minutes, the Phoenix finally broke through again for their second and final goal of the game at 3:57. M. Meyer assisted
Jordyn Hironimus for the Blue Jays 20th goal with just under a minute remaining in the third quarter.
In the final quarter, Etown was quick to start again as Scholes made a free-postion goal. Hennelly and
Morgan Echeverria closed out the goal scoring for Etown as the Blue Jays came out with a 24-2 win.
The Blue Jays will host Immaculata this Thursday at 6 pm.
