TOWSON, Md.—The Elizabethtown men's basketball team extended their winning streak to four as they defeated Goucher 64-63 in conference action.
Zuri Harris led the game with 20 points going 4 for 7 from the arch and tallying five assists.
Austin Finarelli totaled 16 points, six rebounds, and three steals.
Anthony Lilly added 14 points.
Etown started off with the lead early in the half following Harris' second 3-pointer of the game. In the 14th minute, Finarelli extended the Blue Jays lead by five points. Several minutes later the Gophers closed the gap and retook the lead with just over six minutes remaining. Goucher led 27-26 after the two teams traded three's. Harris went on a 7-0 run before Finarelli sunk a three to end the half with a 36-33 lead.
Lilly opened the scoring in the second half for Etown. At 13:55, Goucher had pulled ahead, 47-42. After making several free throws the Jays were trailing by just two. Midway through the half a Lilly layup tied up the game at 49-49. Two back-to-back 3-pointers from Etown brought the score to 55-52 with just over eight minutes remaining. Through the final six minutes of play Etown held on to a slight lead for the 64-63 win.
The Blue Jays will take a break for finals week then resume play at Shenandoah on Dec. 14.
