ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—Down by just two at halftime, the Elizabethtown men's basketball team's second half comeback fell short as Moravian handed the Blue Jays their first loss of the season and first conference loss. The Blue Jays fell, 79-78.

Zuri Harris surpassed his career-high with his leading 25 points. Woody Machado totaled 17 points and nine rebounds while Anthony Lilly totaled 13 points and seven rebounds.

Etown started off with the lead early in the first half after back-to-back layups. In the 13th minute, Harris sunk a three just one of two of the Blue Jay's 3-pointers in the first half. After Moravian took over the lead for a short period, layups from Lilly and Machado gave Etown back the lead at 16-13. Seconds later, Harris recorded the Jays second three of the half. Etown had extended their lead by seven before the Greyhounds came back and led, 33-31 at halftime.

Both teams shot just over 30% in the first half as Moravian went 12-33 and Etown went 11-35 in field goals.

To start the second half the Greyhounds began to pull away doubling their lead within the first five minutes. Buckets from Harris and Machado cut Moravian's lead to under ten points. Midway through the half the Greyhounds were ahead 60-47. After trading baskets, a three from Harris at 6:50 brought the score to 66-58. Under three minutes remaining, 3-pointers from Harris and Reese Ziegler cut the Greyhounds lead to 76-71.
