ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's volleyball team was swept by Franklin & Marshall who is receiving votes in the national poll, Wednesday evening. 

Lucy Stanek led the team in kills with six while also grabbing eight digs. Angela Ouimet and Bailey Doherty each put up seven assists while Doherty also grabbed eight digs. 

Franklin & Marshall set the tone early in set one as they jumped to a 7-2 lead. Shortly after going on a 7-1 run the Diplomats had doubled their lead to 18-8. F&M went on to roll to a 25-12 win in set one. 

Etown stuck with Franklin & Marshall throughout the second set. The Diplomats led 10-8 early but the Jays kept it close tying up the set several times. After three straight from Etown the Blue Jays led 15-14 before putting up three more points to extend their lead to 18-15. Two kills from Stanek brought the team within five of set-point before F&M tied up the set at 21-21. Stanek put down a kill giving the Blue Jays a 23-21 lead before the Diplomats grabbed the final four points to win, 25-23. 

F&M came out swinging in set three as they ran to a 12-2 lead, early. From there Etown couldn't come back and ultimately fell, 25-13. 

The Blue Jays return home on Saturday for Homecoming to host Penn St.-Hazelton and Penn St.-Altoona.
