ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- After a rough start in the first half, the Elizabethtown men's basketball team was able to come back during the final five minutes of the game against visiting Ursinus but ultimately fell 93-90 in the final seconds.

Ursinus was firing on all cylinders to start out the new year as they went up 12-0 in the first four minutes of play. The Blue Jays first bucket of the day came from Russo for three at the 16 minute mark and from there Etown slowly started to claw their way back into the game. The Bears continued to hold a significant lead up by 18 points midway through the first half. Three's from Reese Ziegler and Ben Stanton brought the score to 22-37. With just under five minutes in the half, Ursinus went back up by 19 points. Etown was able to whittle down Ursinus lead by eight points as Etown trailed 42-50 going into halftime.

With just an eight point lead coming out of halftime, Ursinus was able to re-extend their lead to 16 within the first four minutes of the second half. Anthony Lilly, Russo, and Auggie Brody made layups in the next several minutes. Midway through the half, Ursinus still held a 10+ lead over Etown. With seven minutes remaining the Blue Jays found their rhythm and started to make a comeback. Finarelli sunk two straight three's to cut the Bear's lead to 85-79. After trading a few free throws, Finney tied up the game at 90-90 in the final 30 seconds.
