Cyleigh Wilson combined for 49 points as the Elizabethtown College women's basketball team made at least 30 shots for the eighth time this season in an 88-64 win at Lycoming. Wilson had a team-high 25 points while Kennedy recorded 24 points on nine made baskets with eight steals, all career highs. She also tied her career high with nine rebounds.
The Blue Jays and Warriors were tied after one quarter, 19-19. For the second straight game this week, Elizabethtown used the second quarter to begin to pull away from the opposition.
Wilson had knocked down three of her game-high six treys in the opening quarter and hit two more in the second. Kennedy, after a three-point first quarter, hit all four of her shots in the second and grabbed six of her nine boards. Wilson had 15 points by half while Kennedy had put up 11 for the Jays as Etown led 39-30.
13 of Kennedy's 24 came in the second half, nine of which were registered in the fourth quarter. The junior went 5-for-5 at the foul line and as a team, Elizabethtown hit a season-high 17-of-19, their third-best free throw percentage of the season with at least 10 makes.
The Blue Jays outscored Lycoming 21-13 in the third and 28-21 in the fourth quarter.
Together, Wilson and Kennedy shot 17-for-22 from the floor and as a team, Etown finished the day 32-for-66 (.485).
Elizabethtown will finish out their three-game road trip on Wednesday, January 29, at Juniata (7pm).
