TOWSON, Md.—Rance Russo and 
Austin Finarelli combined for 51 of the Elizabethtown men's basketball teams 77 points on the road against Goucher where the Blue Jays won, 77-72.
Finarelli led the game with 26 points going 15 for 15 from the field while Russo totaled 25 points.
Elizabethtown was quick to take the lead in the first half against Goucher. Russo and Finarelli recorded five layups between the two of them on the run. 
Reese Ziegler and Russo each sunk a three, extending Etown's lead to 16-7. The next several minutes were scoreless before 
Zuri Harris made a jumper to bring the Jays lead to nine. Midway through the half the Blue Jays still held a strong lead. Goucher began to chip away at Etown's lead eventually tying it up at 28 at the five-minute mark. Through the rest of the half the two teams went back-n-forth but Elizabethtown was able to go into halftime with a 42-38 lead.
To start the second half Russo and Finarelli combined for ten points which extended their lead to 52-41. The Gopher regained some momentum coming within four of the Blue Jays at the 13-minute mark. 
Ben Stanton sunk a three minutes later brining the score to 61-53. Goucher once again chipped away at the Blue Jays lead coming within three before Etown would go up by seven points. The two teams would trade points till the end of the game to five the Blue Jays the 77-72 win over the Gophers. With under two minutes remaining two crucial Etown steals would seal the team's victory.
The Blue Jays return home this Saturday January, 18 to face Moravian at 4 pm.
