Keet Scores First Career-Goal in Win over Hood

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- Freshman, Meadow Keet was the difference against Hood, Wednesday evening as she scored the game-winning goal to defeat the Blazers, 2-1. The goal was also her first career goal. 

Hood started off with control, earning two penalty corners within the first two minutes of play. With five minutes remaining in the first quarter, Hannah Long fired off a shot following a corner but it was quickly saved by the Blazers goalie. To being the second quarter, Hood would get off three shots but Rachel Muphy held her ground to complete three saves. In the 25th minute off a scrum, Long scored Etown's first goal of the game. Murphy ended the first half with six saves in the goal. 

The Blazers scored in the first two minutes of the second quarter after Lily DeBlasio made two straight saves in the goal. In the fourth with strong defense Etown was able to hold Hood to just four shots with only one being on the goal. In the 49th minute, Long assisted Keet following a corner as she fired off from the top of the arch. Hood earned a corner in the final seconds of the game but their lone shot was saved by DeBlasio. 

Elizabethtown returns home this Saturday, September 21 at 12PM as they open Landmark Conference play against Lycoming.
