Gress Reaches 100 Career Assist Milestone at Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa.-- Junior, Megan Gress reached her 100th career assist milestone at Juniata, Tuesday evening. The Blue Jays fell, 20-7 in the Landmark Conference contest. 

Juniata came bursting out of the gate tallying four straight goals within about a minute of each other. The Eagles tacked on five more goals to end the first quarter with a 9-0 lead. Juniata was back at 45 seconds into the second quarter as they recorded their 10th goal of the game. The Eagles went up 12-0 before Etown score with 3:34 remaining in the second quarter. Megan Meyer assisted Abby Bach on the woman-up opportunity. The Eagles closed out the quarter with one more goal as they led, 13-1 at halftime. 

The Eagles held their momentum through the third quarter adding three more goals before Gress assisted Bach for the Blue Jays second goal. The Eagles scored another just after Etown's to hold a 17-2 lead. Madison Hennelly and Sam Deiaco scored Elizabethtown's next two goals with two minutes remaining in the quarter. Gress scored on a free-position, followed by another Deiaco goal as Etown trailed, 17-6 at the end of the third. 

The Gress and Deiaco duo was back at it to start the fourth for Etown's seventh goal of the game. The Eagles would go on to score three more goals before the end of the game to win, 20-7. 

Elizabethtown is back at home for their final game of the season against Susquehanna at 1pm on Saturday.
