ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- Against a quick Shenandoah University team, the Elizabethtown College men's basketball team couldn't recover from their first half struggles leading to a 57-78 loss to the Hornets.

Shenandoah got off to a strong start coming out with a 12-4 lead, five minutes into the first half. The Hornets kept pulling away as they would lead by as many as 24 points, shooting .621 from the floor in the first half. Three's from Austin Finarelli, Rance Russo and Zuri Harris cut down the Hornets lead to under 20 as Shenandoah went into halftime with a 46-27 lead.

Midway through the half the two teams traded free throws for the next three minutes. With seven minutes remaining, Shenandoah began to pull away leading 74-53 at the two minute mark. Russo and Harris would make the final baskets for the Blue Jays as the team fell, 78-57.
