Elizabethtown started off the game with a substantial lead against Immaculata. Following a Finarelli layup, the Blue Jays led 15-7 just five minutes into the game. For the next several minutes, the Mighty Macs tallied 13 points in three minutes to tie up the game at 17-17. Etown retook the lead but midway through the half, Immaculata again tied up the game. The two teams went back and forth through the end of the half until the Blue Jays were able to pull away with a seven-point lead headed into halftime. With just under a minute remaining, Ben Stanton sunk a three to put the Jays up 44-38.

Early in the second half, Elizabethtown extended their lead by 14-points following a Russo layup. In the final minutes the two teams traded free-throws which would ultimately lead to overtime.

Etown started off the period on a 6-0 run to pull ahead at the three minute mark. The Mighty Macs would make four of their six points in the next minute. Russo made two straight layups to extend the Blue Jays lead back to six-points. Finarelli closed out the period going 4 for 4 in free throws which sandwiched an Immaculata jumper to give Etown the 92-84 win.
