Blue Jays Reverse Sweep Rangers

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown women's volleyball completed a reverse sweep of Drew in their eighth five-set match of the season in Landmark Conference play. The Blue Jays moved to 14-7 overall and 5-1 in Conference play.

Gracie Britten led the team in kills 12 each while Ida Fisher totaled career-high ten kills. Kate Barbon also totaled a career-high 12 kills. Emma Bitner recorded a double-double of 26 assists and a career-high 24 digs. Emma Rizzutto tallied four of the Blue Jays of 11 aces.

Set scores were 25-27, 8-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-13. The first set was close throughout with Drew winning set one, 27-25 in extras. Elizabethtown drew a two-point lead at 12-10 as they tallied three in a row. Drew then went on a 6-1 run to take a 16-13 lead. After going point for point, Etown rattled off four straight to tie it up at 21. Two aces from Campbelle Dayley gave the Blue Jays the 25-24 lead before the Rangers took the final three points to win the set. In set two, Drew jumped out to a 12-1 lead and from there Elizabethtown couldn't recover as they fell, 25-8.

The Blue Jays came back fighting in set three as they would win in a close, 25-21 race. Elizabethtown started off with a 10-8 lead after Britten, Barbon, Fisher, and Sierra Plummer touched down kills. Etown then went on a 5-0 as Rizzutto two of her four aces. After some Drew errors the Blue Jays pulled ahead, 21-14. Drew came back within one after tallying six in a row before Fisher, Plummer and Savannah Lesley smacked down kills to win, 25-21.

Elizabethtown really got going in set four doubling their lead at 18-9 midway through the set. An Etown kill, block, and ace kept the Jays up by ten. Britten added a kill before Bitner put down an ace for
Etown to win, 25-15.

Set five started in Drew's favor as they led, 9-3. Elizabethtown was able to then take a two-point lead after going on a 9-1 run. Lucy Stanek, Lesley, Fisher, Britten, and Alexa Adamek added kills on the run. The Rangers would tally two more before Britten fired off the final kill to win, 15-13.

Elizabethtown is back at home tomorrow to face Scranton and Albright starting at 1
