ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's volleyball team opened up Landmark Conference play, Friday evening against No. 1 Juniata. The Blue Jays fell, 3-0 in straight sets.
Junior,
Gracie Britten recorded three block assists during the match to earn her 100th career block.
Set one was the tightest with the Eagles winning, 25-17. Juniata jumped out to a 7-3 lead before Elizabethtown came within two. A kill from
Savannah Lesley and two Eagle attack errors brought the score to, 14-11. Etown tried to keep it tight until the Eagles pulled away finishing off the set on an 8-3 run to win, 25-17.
Set two began the same with Juniata out in front at 6-1. The Eagles rattled off six straight points, extending their lead by ten at 14-4. Lesley kept the Jays within ten with a kill until the Eagles smacked down four straight kills.

Katie Scaggs ended the scoring for Etown. Juniata closed out the set with three kills in a row to win, 25-8.
Set three started a little tighter as a Britten with the help of Ray recorded two straight blocks. Two Eagle errors kept Elizabethtown within one at 7-6. Juniata then went on a 8-1 run to leap ahead, 15-7. Ray added another kill before the Eagles again rattled off five points in a row. Ray recorded the final kill for Etown as Juniata earned the final two points to win, 25-11.
The Blue Jays are back in action tomorrow at 2PM as they host Lycoming in Landmark Conference action.
