ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown baseball team picked up their third straight Landmark Conference series win as they completed the sweep over Drew, Saturday to win, 14-1.
Kyle Mulville pitched a complete game, striking out six.
Elizabethtown scored first as
David Woolley singled to shortstop. Woolley then stole second and advance to third on an error.
Quinten Perilli doubled through the left side to score Woolley. Drew scored their lone run of the game in the top of the second off a double to right center. After a scoreless third inning, the Blue Jays scored five runs on four hits in the fourth.
Eamon McCoubrey doubled to right center then was brought home on
AJ Bednar's single up the middle.
Ben Watson hit a single to right center, scoring Bednar. Woolley knocked a three-run double to center field to bring the score to, 6-1.
Etown was back at it in the sixth tacking on three more runs, extending their lead, 9-1. Garrett Schwartbeck led off the inning with a double, advanced on a fly out and then stole home. Woolley was hit by a pitch, stole second and third, and then scored on a throwing error. Perilli ended the scoring in the inning with a homerun to left field. The Blue Jays added five more runs in the seventh to win, 14-1. The final two innings were scoreless for both teams.
Schwartzbeck went 2-3 with three runs, two RBi, two doubles and a stolen base. Bednar went 3-4 with two runs, a RBi, and a stolen base. Woolley went 2-3 with two runs, three RBI, and a double.
Etown will travel to Arcadia on Tuesday, April 11 at 3:30 PM.
