ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's lacrosse team fell, 21-7 to visiting Moravian on Wolf Field, Wednesday.
Elizabethtown scored their lone goal of the quarter within the first 30 seconds as
Megan Gress assisted Sam Deicaco. Moravian then responded a minute later with the tying goal and then tacked on six more goals before the end of the quarter. The Greyhounds grabbed the first two goals of the second quarter as they led, 9-1. Etown scored two about a minute apart at the 10 minute mark. Deiaco and
Madison Hennelly recorded the two. Moravian scored four more goals going into to halftime with a ten-point lead, 13-3.
Moravian was quick to start in the third quarter, adding three goals within the first four minutes.
Drew Bridges scored on a free-position opportunity at the 10:27 minute mark, making the score 16-4, Moravian. The Greyhounds scored one more goal in the quarter before the Blue Jays were able to score two more from Deiaco and assisted by Gress. Starting the fourth,
Madison Morabito scored her first goal of the season to keep the Blue Jays within ten at 17-7. Moravian scored four more before the end of the game to win, 20-7.
The Blue Jays will host Juniata on Saturday, April 15 at 1PM for their final home game of the season. The team will honor their seniors prior to the start.
