While he didn't allow a hit over the next four innings before coming out in the eighth, Ortega racked up a career-high eight strikeouts as he hit his spots. He did not allow a run over his seven innings, scattering four hits before
Zach Silfies took over in the eighth.

St. John Fisher (3-9) tied the game with a two-run homer in the fourth and then grabbed a 3-2 lead in the fifth on a sac fly.
Perilli stepped in and sent a shot over the left field fence, his second home run of the day, to give the Blue Jays the lead back at 4-3 in the bottom half of the fifth.
