ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown baseball team fell, 8-3 against visiting Franklin & Marshall, Tuesday afternoon.
The Diplomats jumped to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Etown got on the board in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded,
Quinten Perilli singled to first base for a RBI. The next few innings were scoreless until F&M put four more runs on the board in the sixth, extending their lead, 7-1.
Elizabethtown managed to put up two more runs in the seventh, trailing 7-3. On
James Vito's sacrifice fly to right field,
David Woolley scored.
Tyler McGonigle then hit a sacrifice fly to right field, bringing home
Robbie Bertucio. The Diplomats added one final run in the ninth due to Blue Jay errors.
The Blue Jays open up Landmark Conference play this weekend. Etown will host Juniata, Saturday, March 25th at 12 PM.
