ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown field hockey team defeated Goucher, 2-0 in a Landmark Conference game on a windy Saturday.
Elizabethtown started off the first quarter strong, scoring within the two minutes of play. From the right side in a scrum,

Hannah Long at the 1:36 minute mark. About two minutes later following a penalty corner, Long assisted
Drew Bridges for Etown's second goal. The second quarter was played in a back-n-forth fashion but neither team could get the ball in the goal. In the second, Goucher had the edge in shots, 9-4 while taking six corners.
The third quarter, Etown came back to dominate possession. Long and Bridges contributed the majority of the shots in the quarter as the Blue Jays tallied eight. The Gophers were held to one shot in the quarter towards the end of play. The fourth quarter saw a lot of back and forth, with two minutes remaining in the quarter Bridges took the final shot but it was saved by the Goucher goalie.
Elizabethtown returns home this Wednesday, October 25th at 7PM as they host Juniata.
