ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Elizabethtown College men's volleyball team fell to Messiah in straight set in non-conference action Friday night.
With the loss, the Blue Jays fall to 10-6 on the season, while the Falcons improve to 11-3.

Nate Seeger dished out 18 assists.
Junior Mason Nissley paced Messiah, recording a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs while adding a career-high six aces.
After Elizabethtown scored the first three points of the opening set, the Falcons responded in a big way, using a 17-1 run for the 13 point advantage (17-4). Messiah road this surge to take the opening set 25-13.
The Blue Jays collected themselves in the second set and moved out to an 8-3 lead after a kill by Hildebrand capped off a quick 4-0 spurt. Elizabethtown remained in front at 12-11 after another kill by Hildebrand before Messiah rattled off seven consecutive points to jump in front 18-12. The Falcons controlled the remainder of the frame, taking the 2-0 lead with the 25-18 victory.
In the third set, the Blue Jays once again took an early lead after a block by junior
Tony Camillo gave Etown the 6-2 lead. The Blue Jay continued to hold the lead at 14-11 when Chapman knocked one home down the line. The two teams continued to battle, as Messiah took the lead at 19-18 after a kill by Nissley. Etown responded with three straight points highlighted by kills from Chapman and Hildebrand, brining the score 21-19. The Falcons, however, closed out the sweep, scoring six of the final eight points for the 25-23 win.
Elizabethtown is back in action on Wedensday, March 9 at Lancaster Bible. Opening serve is set for 7 p.m.
