IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Elizabethtown College men's volleyball team topped Immaculata in straight sets in Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) action Tuesday night.
With the win, the Blue Jays improve to 11-8 overall and 1-3 in the CVC, while the Mighty Macs fall to 6-12 and 0-4 in league play.

Steve Swain hit .448 with 16 kills to pace Etown. Classmate
Blake Hildebrand fell one dig short of a double-double, finishing with 10 kills and a team-high nine digs. Sophomore
Nate Seeger registered a match-high 32 assists and one solo block.
Junior John Bohrer led Immaculata with a team-high seven kills, while sophomore Steven Dao recorded a match-high two solo blocks.
Trailing 8-6 midway through the first set, the Blue Jays responded with a 5-0 run, capped off by a block by Seeger, to take am 11-8 lead. The Mighty Macs battled back to tie opening set at 16, and the again at 18 before Etown finished off the first set with a 7-3 run to take the frame 25-21. Swain managed three kills over this final stretch.
Tied at 10 midway through the second set, Etown pulled away with another 7-3 run, highlighted by a kill from Hildebrand, to move ahead 17-13. Immaculata cut the deficit to two at 17-15, but the Blue Jays snatched back the momentum, rattling off eight of the next 10 points to take th 2-0 lead with 25-17 lead.
Holding a one point lead at 14-13, Etown left no doubt, using a 7-0 run to take a 21-13 lead. Senior
Tim Zeiber served six consecutive points over this stretch including the final kill of the run and junior
Tony Camillo, Swain, and Hildebrand each registered kills. The Blue Jays road this momentum to the sweep, wrapping up the final set with another 25-17 victory.
Elizabethtown remains on the road starting on Friday, March 18 at #8 Southern Virginia. Opening serve is set for 7 p.m.
