Graduate student Matt Schaeffer of the Elizabethtown College men's volleyball team was named to the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) All-Conference Third Team, announced by the organization Tuesday morning.

Schaeffer becomes only the second player in program history to earn All-Conference accolades, joining Nick Baxter 20' who garnered the honor twice during his career.

The York, Pa. native transferred to Etown after a successful four-year run at Juniata. His presence was immediately felt, tallying 223 assists in eight matches. Schaeffer was fourth in the CVC, averaging 7.96 assists per set. His season-high 40 assists in the Blue Jays' season-opening match is tied for fourth all-time in a single match in program history.

Combining his stats from Juniata, Schaeffer finishes his collegiate career with 1,457 assists and 251 digs.
