ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Elizabethtown College men's basketball team fell to Susquehanna, 111-91, Saturday afternoon in Thompson Gymnasium.
With the loss, the Blue Jays fall to 4-4 on the season and 0-1 in the Landmark, while the River Hawks improve to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

Senior Danny Frauenheim registered a double-double for Susquehanna, scoring 25 points and dishing out 12 assists to pace the River Hawks. Teammate Dominic Dunn knocked down six three-pointers to finish with a game-high 30 points.
Susquehanna could not miss to start the game, running out to a 22-5 lead just over five minutes into the game. The River Hawks shot 8-10 from the floor and 6-7 from three over this stretch with senior Lukas Yurasits scoring nine.Â
Elizabethtown collected themselves and begin to chip away, closing within 10 after sophomore
Niko Georgelis banged a three to make the score 38-28 with 8:03 remaining in first half.
The Blue Jays kicked it into high gear, going on a 16-2 run to take a 41-40 capped off by two free throws from Gorham. Etown made 5-7 overall and 3-5 from deep over this stretch. The two teams battled the rest of the period before Robinson knocked down three free throws to end the half, giving Etown a 52-51 lead heading into the locker room.
The River Hawks ran back to the lead at the start of the second, outscoring the the Blue Jays 13-4 to take a 64-56 lead just over three minutes into the period. Junior Wes Simons scored a team-high six points over this stretch.Â
A three pointer by Archer cut Susquehanna's lead to five (66-61) with 15:49 remaining in the game, but the Blue Jays were unable to close the gap anymore as the River Hawks continued to widen its lead before closing out the game on a 21-10 run to complete the 111-91 win.
Elizabethtown finished the night 31-57 (54.4%) from the floor and shot 50% (13-26) from beyond the arc. Susquehanna shot 62.1% (41-66) overall and knocked down 16-26 (61.5%) from three.Â
The Blue Jays take a week off before welcoming Marywood to Thompson Gymnasium on Monday, Decemebr 13. Opening tip is set for 6 p.m.
