For the second straight year, senior
Nick Baxter of the Elizabethtown College men's volleyball team was named to the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) All-Conference team, announced by the organization Monday morning.
The Denver, Pa. native repeats as an All-Conference selection this season and earns first team honors for the first time in his career after taking home second team honors last season. He becomes, not only the first All-Conference selection in program history, but the first player to earn the accolade twice.
Baxter finished the season second in the conference in kills (284) and fourth in kills per set (3.84). He became the first player in program history to tally 1,000 collegiate kills and finished his combined career with 1,243 kills.
In only the second year of competition at the NCAA level for the men's volleyball program, Baxter holds nearly every offensive record in the program. He also has stamped his named in the national record book in 2019, recording 37 kills against Trine, second-most kills in a five-set match in Division III history.
The Blue Jays finished the 2020 season with a 14-9 record, the first winning record in only the second year competing at the Division III level. Besides Baxter, Elizabethtown returns its entire roster for 2021.
