ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College baseball team looked set to earn the win in Tuesday's non-conference contest with visiting Lancaster Bible College at Kevin Scott Boyd Stadium when the Chargers rallied over the final two innings and eventually get the win in extras, 6-5, over the Blue Jays.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Matt Barton went a season-high seven innings for Elizabethtown (7-19) and struck out a season-best five for the Jays.
- E-town built an immediate 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on RBIs from
Mike Christy and
Riley McGinley.
- Will Welsh cut the deficit in half for Lancaster Bible (7-10) with a base knock up the middle to score a run.

Doug Hook drove a ball to center field in the sixth to extend the lead to 3-1 with a sac fly.
- Barton cruised through his seven innings before being relieved in the eighth.
- The Chargers got a run back in the eighth to make it 3-2.

James Kantner hit a second sacrifice fly for Elizabethtown in the eighth to double the lead to 4-2.
- Jacob Schenk made it 4-3 with an RBI base hit in the ninth.
- Welsh came through for LBC with a two-run home run down the left field line that just stayed fair to give the visitors a 5-4 lead.
- Down to its final out, an error on a throw to first allowed
Anthony Knight to score and Christy ended up safe at first as the Jays tied it in the bottom of the ninth.
- In the tenth, Josh Saufley's RBI groundout returned the lead to Lancaster Bible.
- Dan Zimmerman struck out the side in order for the Chargers in the home half of the tenth to get the win.

Andrew Fisher was a team-best 3-for-4 while Knight also had a pair of hits for the Blue Jays.
