ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Justin Cherry earned his first win of the season Wednesday at Kevin Scott Boyd Stadium for the Elizabethtown College baseball team in a 6-3 win over Lebanon Valley. The Blue Jays' staff allow only three runs over the nine innings and
Joseph Sarich earned his first save with a spotless ninth inning for E-town.
Derek Manning and
Mike Christy each homered for the Jays in the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Christy's first home run of the year came in the first inning to left center to put Elizabethtown (8-19) on top, 1-0.
- Manning added to the lead with his sixth homer of the season in the third, a two-run shot to left.
Robbie Bertucio scored on the HR.
- The only blemish on Cherry's line was a solo homer to Chris DeClerico in the fifth. The senior threw five innings of one-run ball with three strikeouts.

Michael Rajnik singled through the left side in the fifth to score McGinley and make it 4-1.
- With the squeeze on in the sixth, McGinley picked up an RBI on the play as Bertucio scored from third to increase the Jays' lead to 5-1. E-town tacked on a run as Manning made it home safely on a passed ball.
- The Dutchmen got two runs back in the eighth to halve the lead to 6-3.
- Sarich closed out the game in the ninth by retiring the side and earning his first save.
- McGinley and Rajnik each had multi-hit efforts for Elizabethtown.
UP NEXT
The Blue Jays will host Juniata this weekend for a Landmark Conference series at Boyd Stadium. Saturday's doubleheader is also senior day for E-town, with a ceremony to be held between the two games.
