ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Though Goucher won four singles matches, the Elizabethtown College women's tennis team had the win in the books already to extend E-town's win streak to four straight matches and three in a row in conference play.
Meghan Chemidlin was 2-0 on the day and moved another pair of matches closer to 100 for her career.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Each of the three doubles matches were closely contested and two were won by tiebreakers.
- Chemidlin and
Amber Burd won yet again at No. 2 doubles with a 8-6 win over Haddie Hill and Tes DeJaeger to improve to 7-1 as a duo.

Lenea Riehl and
Kailey Caroland had to battle to win No. 1 doubles 8-7 (7-5).
- Elizabethtown (7-1, 3-1 Landmark) made it 3-0 in doubles after
Madelyn Binder and
Sarah Donner took No. 3 doubles 8-7 (9-7).
- The first two singles matches to finish both went in favor of the Blue Jays as they clinched the match with wins from Chemidlin at No. 3 (6-3, 6-3) and Caroland (7-6 (7-5), 6-1) at No. 2. Chemidlin beat Hill and Burd defeated DeJaeger, the two from Goucher (5-8, 1-2 Landmark) they faced in doubles competition.
- The Gophers went on to win the remaining singles matches to come within one by the end, though the win was already locked in for E-town.
