Rachel Christman found Veronica Christ for the jumper on Elizabethtown's (1-0) second offensive possession of the game. Aryah Aungst, who had a game-high 26 points, gave Marywood (0-1) a brief lead after her three-pointer dropped in. Hawkins put E-town back in the lead with a three of her own 15 seconds later.

Christ knocked down a trey and Jillian Nagy split a pair at the line as the Jays were up by eight, 13-5 with 3:46 left in the opening quarter. Mikayla Ruth made it a double-digit lead out a timeout after a Pacers' turnover.

Allison Bashore sank a three to start the second after Marywood had trailed by five, 18-13. Hawkins had the first three points for the Blue Jays and after Christ's two made free throws, the lead was back at seven, though another three from the Pacers' Marissa Fernandez Tierney cut it to four.

Elizabethtown led 34-24 at halftime.

The lead hung around double digits for the Jays through most of the third quarter. Nagy's first career three-pointer followed by a jumper in the paint on consecutive possessions increased the lead to 15, the largest of the game for E-town.

Clare Marchese drained two foul shots to start the fourth, two of the team's 24 at the line in the game (24-for-32, 75.0 percent). Ruth extended the lead to 16 with a layup plus the harm, sinking her free throw to make it a 52-36 game with 8:06 left in the fourth.

Aungst helped cut the lead to single digits, but Emlet's makes at the charity stripe pushed it back over ten. Marywood continued to press and got as close as six points with 2:14 to go. Christ knocked down another two at the line and Hawkins drained her third and final three of the evening with 1:19 left to ice the game for the Blue Jays.

Hawkins' 22 points led the way for Elizabethtown. Emlet recorded her first double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Ruth and Christ each added 11 points.

The women's basketball hits the road to face Lebanon Valley on Wednesday, November 13, at 7 p.m.
