OWINGS MILL, MD. – The Elizabethtown women's volleyball team fell to Stevenson, 3-0, on the road Tuesday evening in non-conference action.
The Blue Jays now sit at 17-7 overall, while the Mustangs remain undefeated at 19-0.
Freshman
Bryanna Miller registered a team-high eight kills, while sophomore
Rileigh Hudock finished with a team-high eight digs and two aces.
ELIZABETHTOWN 0, STEVENSON 3 (14-25, 14-25, 23-25)
- SET ONE: Down by one midway through the first (13-12), Stevenson took control, finishing the opening set on a 15-2 run for the early 1-0 win.
- SET TWO: Hitting .481 in the second set, the Mustangs controlled the stanza from start to finish, running out to a 15-4 lead. Stevenson finished things off after a kill from Shannon Baily made the score 25-14.
- SET THREE: Down six late in the third (23-17), the Blue Jays mounted a rally, going on a 6-1 run to cut the Mustangs' lead to one (24-23). Stevenson however found the final kill in the next rally, remaining undefeated on the season with the straight set victory.
