PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Elizabethtown suffered 3-0 defeats at the hands of Muskingum and Bluffton on Saturday at the Carnegie Mellon DoubleTree Invitational.
It was a tough end to the weekend for the Blue and Gray, which left the Steel City with an 0-4 record against quality opponents.

25-16, 25-17, 25-20
Muskingum out-killed E-town in every set on its way to a 47-32 advantage.
Brynn Guist had 14 kills and Carson Miller 13 to lead the Muskies, while
Mackenzie Garner and
Marisa Krinock topped the Blue Jays with eight each.
After dropping the first set 25-16, Elizabethtown (8-9) ran off four straight points early in the second to take its only lead of the match.
Shelly Yohe,
Elle Shatto and
Allison Fischer had kills. Fischer and Garner also combined for one of E-town's five blocks as the Jays jumped on top, 4-1. Muskingum (13-2) came back with the next five points to reclaim the lead, however and went on to win the second 25-17. The Muskies would complete the sweep, 25-20.
Sarah Schneider provided a team-high 16 digs and seven kills for Elizabethtown.
Rileigh Hudock and Yohe each had 13 assists and
Aiyana Tietze-Di Toro registered 12 digs.
BLUFFTON 3, ELIZABETHTOWN 0
25-14, 25-22, 25-18
Bluffton was effective offensively and defensively in a three-set sweep of the Blue Jays.
The Beavers (8-9) held a 45-28 advantage in kills and 77-50 advantage in digs.
Erin Weisgarber (14), Brooke Kleman (12), Abby Rohrbach (11) and Courtney Zimpfer (11) all finished with double-figure digs, while Bethany Martini put forth a match-high 13 kills for Bluffton.
Elizabethtown (8-10) got seven kills and seven blocks (two solo) from
Mackenzie Garner, 14 digs and two aces from
Sarah Schneider and 11 digs from
Aiyana Tietze-Di Toro.
Shelly Yohe and
Rileigh Hudock again split setting duties with 11 and 10 assists, respectively.
