TOWSON, Md. -- Elizabethtown's
Lenea Riehl received her second career Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honor on Monday afternoon after starting the fall season with four wins last weekend.
Riehl, the team's top flight player, went 2-0 in both singles and doubles play as E-town cruised to 9-0 victories over Lycoming (Saturday) and Penn State Harrisburg (Sunday).
Riehl posted a 6-1, 6-1 straight set victory over Lycoming's Hannah Summerson in singles action Saturday. The junior from Gap, Pennsylvania also teamed with newcomer
Kailey Caroland to edge Summerson and Brittany Lenze in doubles, 9-8 (6). Riehl and Caroland controlled their doubles match against Penn State Harrisburg, winning 8-2. Riehl followed up the effort with a come-from-behind 5-7, 6-3, 10-6 win over Sydney Nye in singles.
During her career, Riehl has gone 19-18 in singles and 23-15 in doubles. She played exclusively at No. 1 singles and doubles as a sophomore.
Riehl was previously honored as the Landmark Athlete of the Week this past March 19.
