TOWSON, Md. -- 365 student-athletes between all the Landmark institutions were named to the conference's Fall Academic Honor Roll. 49 of those 365 were from Elizabethtown. The Honor Roll recognizes all fall student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.
28 of the 49 selections for Elizabethtown are repeat honorees and seven of the 28 have been on the list all three years. There were 13 student-athletes that were All-Landmark Conference selections and three major award winners. Those were Men's Cross Country Performer of the Year
Samuel Gerstenbacher, Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year
Mitchell Gochnauer, and Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year
Lydia Lawson.
The women's soccer team had the most honorees from the six fall sports teams with 13. Field hockey was next with 10 and men's soccer had nine.
The Honor Roll marks the first academic accolades awarded by the conference this fall. The Landmark will announce the Senior Scholar athletes later this week.
