Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Baker, Robidoux, Thompson fuel Jays' offense at Lebanon Valley

ANNVILLE, Pa. -- Madelyn Baker was one of three players to record at least a hat trick for the Elizabethtown College women's lacrosse team at Lebanon Valley on Wednesday. Carly Thompson, Dana Robidoux, and Baker combined for 12 of the team's 16 goals in the Blue Jays' 16-6 win over the Dutchmen.

The game was close throughout the first half. Elizabethtown (4-1) got on the board first with a goal from Dana Robidoux, her first of four. Carly Thompson provided the assist on Robidoux's game-opening goal.

After Lebanon Valley (0-6) tied it up at 1-1, Thompson gave the lead back to the Blue Jays, though LVC would tie it once more at 2-2. Robidoux returned E-town back to the lead with a free position goal. Thompson then took a feed from Addie Stang to double the Jays' advantage to 4-2.

Stang and Allison McLamb scored three minutes apart and Elizabethtown increased the lead to 6-2 with 7:37 remaining in the first half. Each team scored twice more and the Blue Jays took an 8-4 lead into halftime.

Baker had scored the final goal of the half before tallying two of the first three in the second half for the Blue & Gray. Katie Thompson and Robidoux provided helpers on her pair of second-half goals to help the sophomore record her second hat trick of the season and third of her career.

As the Elizabethtown attack added goals to the board, Abby Kopytko was stopping them from happening. The reigning Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week made all six of her saves in the second half and only allowed LVC a total of six in her 60 minutes of action. Hannah Oliveras had ten stops for the Dutchmen.

Carly Thompson had a team-high five goals for the Blue Jays as six different players scored for E-town. Robidoux added four while Baker finished with three. Stang had a pair while Katie Thompson and Allison McLamb each added one. Robidoux was a perfect 3-for-3 on free position attempts.

Elizabethtown will begin Landmark Conference play this weekend, at Susquehanna, on Saturday, March 25 at 1 p.m.
