Baseball, softball, track teams announce schedule changes (UPDATE 4/8)

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Elizabethtown College baseball, softball, and track & field announced that they have made multiple schedule changes with poor weather in the forecast for this coming weekend.

The softball team's doubleheader at Ursinus on Thursday, April 7, has been postponed. The teams will attempt to find a makeup date, but none has been announced at this time.

Saturday's Landmark Conference set scheduled for Saturday, April 9, at Juniata, was bumped up to Friday, but field conditions will not allow the teams to play. The conference doubleheader is now scheduled for Sunday, April 10, at 1 and 3 p.m. The games with Scranton will be moved to Sunday, April 17. First pitch will be 1 p.m.

Baseball has postponed its non-conference game against York (Pa.), scheduled for Thursday, April 7. A makeup date is yet to be determined.

Elizabethtown baseball has also rearranged its weekend series at Juniata, shifting the single nine-inning game from Sunday, April 10, to Friday, April 8. Game time from Huntingdon on Friday is set for 3:30 p.m. The Blue Jays and Eagles have moved Saturday's doubleheader back to Sunday, April 10, beginning at 1 p.m.

Saturday's final day of the three-day Messiah Invitational will be postponed for the track and field teams. E-town will have a few members competing Friday evening in the men's discus.
