BAYAMON, P.R. – No. 17 St. John Fisher scored 17 unanswered goals to drop Elizabethtown, 18-2, Tuesday morning at Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Chrissy Cook put the Cardinals up 1-0 1:57 into the game, but with 21:28 remaining in the half, junior attack Addie Stang weaved past a few SJF defenders and beat goalie Hayley Peets to tie the game.

St. John Fisher would rip off the final 10 goals of the first half and score seven unanswered in the second before Dana Robidoux got the Jays (1-2) back on the board with 2:34 to play with her fifth goal of the season.

Jordan Johnson, Sierra Badger and Cook found the back of the net three times each. Morgan Young and Molly Rourke added two goals for the Cards (1-0).

The nationally-ranked Cardinals capitalized on their possessions, but the Blue Jays could not do the same. Elizabethtown committed 24 turnovers and generated just nine shots against the St. John Fisher defense.

Fisher won the draw control battle 14-6, led by four from Badger. Allison McLamb captured three draws for the Blue and Gray with Robidoux grabbing a pair.

McLamb and Darian Natividad forced three turnovers apiece, while McLamb, Robidoux and Becky Graessle picked up a team-high three ground balls.

Abby Kopytko turned away five of the Cardinals' 28 shots (23 on goal).
