Wednesday sporting events washed out

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Elizabethtown's fall athletic teams have made it through much of their seasons nearly unscathed by bad weather, but that was not the case Wednesday. Heavy rain is expected to affect eastern and central Pennsylvania most of the day, and has forced the postponement of the Blue Jays' men's soccer, women's soccer and field hockey games.

Field hockey was scheduled to host Moravian College in a Landmark Conference game, but that has now been moved to Monday, Oct. 27, at 4 p.m. in Elizabethtown.

The 9-3 Blue Jay women's soccer team will travel to Moravian for a league game next Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Penn State Berks was to pay a visit to Ira R. Herr Field tonight to take on men's soccer, but that game has been moved to tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. The game will also shift locations from E-town to Reading, as the two teams will play on the turf field at PSU Berks.
