2012 (Freshman): Not many Blue Jays struck the ball as hard as Brokaw in 2012...Got into 28-of-32 matches and 66 sets...One of six players, and two freshmen, to record more than 100 kills for the season (117)...Fourth on the team in kills per set with 1.77...Hitting percentage of .111 was seventh best of players on the team with over 50 sets played...Tied for ninth on the team in aces with four...Showed the ability to alter opponents' shots with 12 blocks (three solo, nine assists)...Started career with back-to-back four-kill matches against Penn State Berks Aug. 31, and at Franklin & Marshall Sept. 1...Knocked in a season-high 14 kills against Rochester Sept. 21...Registered 10 kills on 27 attempts (.185) at Moravian Sept. 14.
High School: Competed on South Brunswick's volleyball team under the direction of coach Shaun Ruymen...Team advanced to the Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) semifinals during her senior season, and made an appearance in the NJSIAA State Tournament...Helped the Vikings go 14-9 in her final year...Had eight kills and six aces in a 2-1 win over J.P. Stevens in the GMC Quarterfinals on Oct. 25, 2011...Selected to the All-GMC All-Star Team two times...Also chosen as a GMC Red Division All-Star Team member twice...South Brunswick volleyball's Most Valuable Player as a junior in 2010...Home News Tribune All-Area pick as a senior (2011)...Played club volleyball for the Atlantic Valley Volleyball Club from 2010-12 and for West Windsor-Princeton Volleyball Club (WWVBC) from 2008-10.
Personal: Daughter of Glenn and Diane Brokaw...Uncle, Gary Brokaw, was an All-American guard on the men's basketball team at Notre Dame University and was a first round selection (18th overall pick) of the National Basketball Association's Milwaukee Bucks in 1974...Has an older sister and a younger brother...Social work major.
