Derek Leonard joined the Elizabethtown College women's volleyball team as an assistant coach in Jan. 2024.
Leonard currently coaches at Prevail Volleyball Club where he started in 2019. At Prevail, Leonard coaches multiple girls teams of varying age groups. He has also won several club tournaments.
Prior to transitioning to Etown, from 2021-23, Leonard was the varsity head coach at New Covenant Christian School (NCCS). While at NCCS, Leonard led his teams to multiple conference playoff appearances and guided many players to earning conference and state honors. Before becoming head coach of the varsity program Leonard was the JV head coach and varsity assistant coach at NCCS from 2019-21.
