Crystal Agnew, one of the top setters in Elizabethtown College volleyball history, returns to the program in 2014 as a first-time assistant coach.
The 2011 Elizabethtown alumna will take on the roles of setter training and team fundraising.
A native of Queensbury, N.Y., Agnew was a two-time All-Commonwealth Conference Second Team selection as a setter. She ranks third all-time in career assists (2,766) and second in career assists per set (8.33). Agnew also posted the fourth most assists in a single season with 1,101 in 2010, her senior year.
Agnew played on Elizabethtown's lone Commonwealth Cconference championship team in 2007. She currently teaches math at Hempfield High School. Agnew received her masters of science in education this past December.
"I'm thrilled to have Crystal on board, as she is very well tuned with our goals and expectations for the setter position," said coach Randall Kreider.
Agnew shared Kreider's enthusiasm in her re-joining the program. "I'm very excited to get to know the girls on the team and support them in their journey through college," she stated.
