Veronica Nolt served as Sherri Gorman's top assistant in her first season back on Elizabethtown's sideline since 1994-95. The Blue Jays went 15-11 and qualified for the Commonwealth Conference Championships in a successful debut for the program's new coaching staff.
Highlighting the 2012-13 season was Elizabethtown's 62-57 upset of No. 5 Messiah, snapping a 22-game losing streak and 11-game road losing skid to their rivals from Grantham.
Nolt has been associated with the game in multiple facets since completing her collegiate playing career at Millersville University. She spent three seasons as the girls' assistant coach at Donegal High School from 1991-94, while also leading the district's junior high program.
Nolt made a brief stop in Elizabethtown during the 1994-95 season when she helped legendary head coach Yvonne Kauffman the Blue Jays to their seventh Middle Atlantic Conference Championship. E-town finished with a 23-5 overall record and qualified for its ninth NCAA Division III Tournament in program history that season.
She made her way back to the high school ranks following a successful season at Elizabethtown. Appointed head coach at Middletown Area High School prior to the 1995-96 season, Nolt guided the Blue Raiders for four seasons. Middletown reached the District 3 Class AAA and PIAA Championships twice during her tenure. Nolt's 1997-98 team placed third in the district and advanced to the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
Nolt has placed her focus on player development through personal instruction for more than a decade. As a shooting instructor, she's developed York and Lancaster-Lebanon League, as well as district all-stars, 1,000-point scorers, and a McDonald's All-America nominee. Many of the players she has tutored have gone on to play collegiately.
In addition to the one-on-one instruction she provides, Nolt has also worked as a consultant/clinician and spoken at numerous camps.
Nolt was a two-time all-county selection and Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star while at Lebanon Catholic High School, before continuing her playing career at Millersville. With the Marauders, Nolt achieved Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete status in 1990 and 1991.
Nolt and husband, Matthew, reside in Elizabethtown with their three children. She graduated magna cum laude from Millersville in 1992 with a bachelor of science in elementary education and coaching minor. Nolt returned to the Lancaster County institution to obtain her master of education in sport management (coaching emphasis) in 2002.
