Veronica Nolt enters her 11th season leading one of NCAA Division III’s storied programs in 2025-26.

Nolt, who has been with the Blue Jays since 2012-13, spent two seasons as an assistant coach, followed by one as co-head coach and another as interim before officially being named as the permanent head coach in April 2016 following the 2015-16 season. She also serves as an Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Woman’s Administrator for the department.

Elizabethtown has worked its way back into the national spotlight thanks to the work of Nolt and her staff. The Blue Jays made back-to-back NCAA Div. III Tournament appearances in 2021-22 and 2022-23, including their first NCAA victory since 2001 by beating No. 21 Stevens on March 3, 2023, in the First Round in Newport News, Va. They were also ranked in the WBCA Div. III Coaches Top 25 poll, starting Jan. 3, 2023, and getting as high as No. 15 and remained in the Top 25 for the rest of the season. In the final poll revealed on April 3, 2023, Etown was ranked No. 22 to close out the year. Nolt's team made the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25 as well, three times in four years, with an appearance in the NCAA Div. III Second Round.

Nolt’s team finished that year 23-5, the program’s best mark since 1998-99. The Jays were a force in the Landmark Conference, Region 5, and Division III. 22 of their 23 wins were by 10 points or more with a scoring margin of almost 16.0 points per game that ranked them 32nd in DIII. Elizabethtown had the second-best three-point shooting percentage among 425 ranked teams and the sixth-highest field goal percentage in NCAA Div. III. Four of the Jays’ five losses were to top 5 teams.

Elizabethtown was led by sophomores Summer McNulty ’25 and DaniRae Renno ’25, both all-conference selections, and then, the first pair of teammates to be named D3hoops.com All-Region in the same season for the Blue Jays. McNulty was named an All-Region 5 First Team selection while Renno was picked to the All-Region 5 Second Team. McNulty also garnered WBCA All-America Honorable Mention and D3hoops.com All-America Fifth Team honors for Etown.

This came after a 20-6 year in 2021-22 and a program-best 12-2 in the Landmark Conference, the team’s best finish in the league since joining in 2014-15. Nolt’s teams have qualified for the Landmark postseason in seven of her eight seasons, including a pair of Landmark Championships appearances (2018-19, 2022-23).

Nolt and her staff were named the Landmark’s Coaching Staff of the Year in 2024-25, the third time Nolt and co. have earned the honor from the conference (2018-19, 2021-22). She was tabbed a WBCA Div. III Coach of the Year Finalist for '24-25 and was named the D3hoops.com Region 5 Coach of the Year in '21-22, her first regional coaching award. A pair of her players won major Landmark awards as Veronica Christ ’22 was named the Player of the Year and Summer McNulty ’25 was named the Rookie of the Year. Christ was also a two-time All-America and All-Region honoree.

In all, Nolt has coached 22 all-conference selections and 4 major award winners; 2 Rookies of the Year, 1 Player of the Year, and 1 Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

The Blue Jays made four straight Landmark Conference semifinals under Nolt, from 2016-17 to 2019-20, before their season was canceled due to COVID-19 in 2020-21.

Currently the third-winningest coach in program history, Nolt has had winning seasons in eight of her nine years and has always finished above .500 in conference play.

She has been associated with the game in many facets since completing her collegiate playing career at Millersville University. Nolt spent three seasons as the girls' assistant coach at Donegal High School from 1991-94, while also leading the district's junior high program.

Nolt made a brief stop in Elizabethtown during the 1994-95 season when she helped Kauffman and the Blue Jays to their seventh Middle Atlantic Conference Championship. E-town finished with a 23-5 overall record and qualified for its ninth NCAA Division III Tournament in program history that season.

She made her way back to the high school ranks following a successful season at Elizabethtown. Appointed head coach at Middletown Area High School prior to the 1995-96 season, Nolt guided the Blue Raiders for four seasons. Middletown reached the District 3 Class AAA and PIAA Championships twice during her tenure. Nolt's 1997-98 team placed third in the district and advanced to the quarterfinals of the state tournament.

Prior to returning to Elizabethtown, Nolt specialized as a shooting instructor, developing York and Lancaster-Lebanon League, as well as district all-stars, 1,000-point scorers, and a McDonald's All-America nominee. Many of the players she tutored went on to play collegiately.

Nolt was a two-time all-county selection and Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star while at Lebanon Catholic High School, before continuing her playing career at Millersville. With the Marauders, Nolt achieved Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete status in 1990 and 1991.

Nolt and husband, Matthew, reside in Elizabethtown with their three children Nicholas, Julia and Elyssa. She graduated magna cum laude from Millersville in 1992 with a bachelor of science in elementary education and coaching minor. Nolt returned to the Lancaster County institution to obtain her master of education in sport management (coaching emphasis) in 2002.
