One of the most recent members of Elizabethtown men's basketball's 1,000-point club, 2011 grad Keith Fogel returns to the College as an assistant coach with Bob Schlosser's team in 2013-14.
Fogel was a two-time All-Commonwealth Conference Second Team selection, earning the honor as both a junior and a senior.
In 99 career games, Fogel racked up 1,185 points to rank as the program's 21st all-time leading scorer. His expertise in many facets of the game surrounding guard play will be welcomed by the Blue Jays, especially at the free throw line. Elizabethtown has shot 63.9 and 65.9 percent at the charity stripe in the two seasons following Fogel's graduation. During his senior year, the Mifflinburg native connected on 90.8 percent (89-of-98) of his attempts to rank fifth in NCAA Division III in free throw efficiency.
Not only could the shifty guard score the ball, he could find the open man, too. Fogel led the Blue Jays in assists and per game average, and ranked in the top five in the Commonwealth Conference in both 2009-10 and 2010-11.
