2013 (Senior): Ruth established new career-bests in a number of categories including wins (4), complete games (3), shutouts (1), innings pitched (58.2) and strikouets (45)...Brought his ERA down over a run and a half per game from his junior to senior seasons...Finished with a 3.83 career earned run average and 9-9 record after going 4-4 with a 4.14 ERA in 2013...Not known to be a power pitcher in his first three years with the program, but struck out eight or more batters in three games as a senior...More than half (5-of-9) of his starts were quality starts (6+ IP with 3 ER or fewer allowed)...Beat La Roche on March 3 with his first complete game of the season (7 IP) and five strikeouts...Matched what was, at the time, a career-high with eight strikeouts in another complete game win over Westminster (Pa.) 2012 (Junior): Appeared in 11 games, starting eight...Ranked second on the team in strikeouts with 28 and fourth in innings pitched with 49.2...Held opposing batters to a .297 average...Had a 1-3 record with one complete game and one save...Scattered eight hits over 6.1 innings while giving up three runs and striking out four in his season debut, a no decision, against La Roche March 4...Kept The College of New Jersey in check March 17 with seven innings of six-hit ball, but again received no decision...Went through a stretch of four tough outings following the TCNJ game, but came back to post three scoreless innings of work against Albright April 13 and earn his second career save...Each of his first six appearances were starts, before coming out of the bullpen for three appearances in a row...Moved back into the rotation on the final day of the regular season, April 28, and gave up just one run in a seven-inning complete game five-hitter at Messiah for his first win of the season...Got the ball in team's Commonwealth Conference Tournament opener against Lebanon Valley May 3 and lasted 6.2 innings before taking another no decision in a 5-4 Blue Jays' win.
