Anthony Cimabue is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Elizabethtown College baseball team.
Cimabue brings three seasons of collegiate coaching experience to the Blue Jays, and spent two seasons as the pitching coach at his alma mater, Wilmington University, assisting the Wildcats in game day operations, player development and strength and conditioning.
Wilmington's pitching staff has thrived under Cimabue's guidance.
In 2012, the Wildcat pitchers were sixth in the nation with a 2.86 ERA and followed that up with a 3.24 ERA in 2013 that was good for 26th in DII. Wilmington has been in the top 10 in hits allowed per nine innings nationally in both of Cimabue's seasons with the program.
Cimabue spent three seasons pitching for the Wildcats. His 54 appearances from 2008-10 rank sixth in program history.
A 2010 graduate of Wilmington University (Del.) with a bachelor of science in sports management, Cimabue started his coaching career in 2011 with Salem Community College. He also made a quick stop at Harford Community College.
