TOWSON, Md. – Senior,
David Woolley becomes the fourth student-athlete for the Elizabethtown College baseball team to earn the Landmark Conference Baseball Senior Scholar Athlete honor.
The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athletes in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designee.
Woolley, a business administration major with a concentration in finance, carried a 3.57 grade point average while closing out one of the most decorated careers in program history. He became the second Blue Jay this spring, the fourth this academic year, and the fourth baseball student-athlete in program history to earn Senior Scholar-Athlete recognition.
Woolley was a cornerstone of Etown's success over the past four seasons, earning First Team All-Conference honors in each year of his career from 2023 through 2026. He was a consistent national award presence as well, earning multiple D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region selections, including First Team honors in 2024 from both organizations. Woolley also earned All-Region recognition in 2023 and 2025, along with D3baseball.com and Landmark weekly honors during the 2026 season.
Woolley helped lead Elizabethtown to four straight Landmark Conference Tournament appearances, with runner-up finishes in 2024 and 2026. The Blue Jays earned NCAA Tournament bids in both 2023 and 2024, including a regional runner-up finish in 2024. He finished his career holding multiple program and conference records, including at-bats (670), runs (194), hits (254), walks (144), and games played (172).
In the classroom, Woolley was named to the Landmark Academic Honor Roll three times and earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors twice, with another selection expected this season. He was also a recipient of the Elizabethtown College Presidential Scholarship.
Woolley was active in service and leadership throughout his time at Etown. As a team, the baseball program volunteered at the 2025 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Harrisburg as part of the College's "Into the Streets" initiative. He also served on the LCBC Church Sinking Spring traffic team, volunteered with youth players at a Sandlot Camp hosted by Warwick Travel Baseball, and founded and coached a summer league team in the Quad County Men's League. Off the field, he helped build and grow a family business, Woolley Outdoor, which expanded into a full-service landscaping and outdoor company he plans to work for full-time after graduation.
