LANCASTER, Pa.—The Elizabethtown College baseball team's comeback fell short as they dropped a 4-2 decision to Scranton in the Landmark Conference Championship.
Alex McClain went 2-4 with a RBI.
Alex Perrin recorded a double and two stolen bases.
After four scoreless innings, Scranton put a run on in the fifth and sixth to lead, 2-0. The Blue Jays cut the deficit to one after McClain's single scored
David Woolley. Scranton added two insurance runs in the eighth inning to extend their lead to 4-2. In the ninth, Perrin was hit by a pitch and then stole two bases to make it to third. On
Mason Woolwine's single, Perrin scored Etown's final run of the game.
The Blue Jays end the season 29-16 as the Landmark Conference Runner-Ups.
