WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Catholic doubled up the Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team in Wednesday night's conference matchup at Carlini Field. The Cardinals handed the Blue Jays their second Landmark loss of the season with an 18-9 win.
Reese Levinson and
Jay Rodriguez scored just over 20 seconds a part early on in the first quarter as Elizabethtown went ahead 2-0. The Cardinals responded with seven consecutive goals to take a 7-2 lead.
Catholic held Etown to two goals in each of the first two quarters as they led 10-4 at halftime.
Tristan Coleman and Levinson each scored in the third, but those were the only two goals the Jays would get as the Cardinals continued pulling away.
Brent Wehland, Coleman, and
Ben Backenstose all scored a goal in the fourth.
Elizabethtown hosts Wilkes for Senior Day on Saturday, April 11, at 1 p.m.
