LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall used the second quarter to separate from the Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team in Saturday's non-conference matchup at Shadek Stadium. The Diplomats beat the Blue Jays, 17-10.
Elizabethtown outscored F&M 5-4 in the first quarter, but it was the second quarter that would really decide the game.
The Diplomats did not allow a goal while piling up six of their own to double up Etown heading into halftime, 10-5.
Franklin & Marshall kept it going in the third with a 4-2 advantage in goals.
Casey Lamey and
Reese Levinson provided the third-quarter goals for EC.
Tristan Coleman and
Jay Rodriguez each scored early in the fourth quarter, but the Diplomats would match each of the Jays' goals as both sides tallied three goals apiece.
Ben Zaitz made 16 saves in the game for Etown.
The Blue Jays play at Stockton on Wednesday, March 11, at 6 p.m.
