SCRANTON, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College women's basketball were beaten by second-ranked Scranton on Saturday in the Landmark Conference Championship.
Makenna Mummert had a team-high 15 points and
Allyia Kennedy recorded her fourth double-double in five games with 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Blue Jays.
Scranton led 21-12 after the first quarter and held the Jays to single-digit scoring in the second to take a double-digit lead into halftime, 36-19.
While the threes fell Thursday night in the Landmark semifinal for Etown, they wouldn't go on Saturday at the John Long Center. Elizabethtown ended 2-for-19 in the game.
The Royals were hot in the third quarter, shooting 10-for-15 and outscoring EC 26-12 to pull away.
Scranton would go on to win the championship, 82-42.
