HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- For the second straight conference contest, the Elizabethtown College men's soccer team finished with a draw. Wednesday night at Juniata, the Blue Jays and Eagles went scoreless through 90 minutes as both sides earned a point.
Juniata didn't allow a shot to the Jays in the first half as it was more a defensive battle through the opening 45 minutes. The Eagles registered two shots in that time, one that required a save from goalie
Logan Sumner.
The game opened up a bit more in the second half. Elizabethtown was able to fire off six shots while Juniata had seven. Sumner made three saves in the second half, including one at the very end of the game to keep it scoreless. It was his seventh shutout of the season and fourth in his last five games.
Elizabethtown hosts nationally-ranked Scranton on Saturday, October 10, at 1 p.m. for Homecoming.
