ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Scranton scored in the first half and that goal stood for the remainder of the game as the Royals beat the Elizabethtown College men's soccer team on Homecoming.
Scranton scored in the third minute as a deflection off a cross came to Nick Suraci on the left side of the box and he finished off the play with the game's only goal.
The Blue Jays were limited to one shot in the first half.Â
Quinn Erb caught one in the 81st minute. His shot was headed left and the goalie made a diving, fingertip save that sent the ball off the left post and back into play. The Royals were able to clear it and avoid a game-tying goal.
Elizabethtown hosts Catholic on Wednesday, October 14, at 7 p.m.
